CM Maryam Nawaz Ramazan Package: A major corruption case has been revealed in Punjab’s Ramzan Nigahban Ration Program, where government officials manipulated the assistance of the poor people. This relief package, which was meant for the deserving people, was tried to be usurped by the corrupt officers themselves. Taking immediate action, the police have registered a case against three people, including two government officials.
According to the investigation, these officers tried to cash the checks issued in favor of the people themselves. The police have revealed that 17 checks were cashed fraudulently, while 92 checks were still in their possession. This action was exposed when AC Shalimar and RO Sabir Ali raided and arrested the accused and handed them over to the police.
The Punjab government has announced that strict action will be taken against all the criminals involved in this matter so that such corruption does not happen in the future. The public is also being appealed to inform the authorities immediately if they see any kind of corruption or irregularity so that the relief package reaches only the deserving people.

How Did the Fraud Happen?
The scam involved officials cashing checks meant for needy families. Police have revealed that the accused fraudulently cashed 17 checks, and an additional 92 checks remain uncashed but were in their possession. During the raid, more than Rs. 1.5 lakh was recovered from the culprits, proving their involvement in the corruption.
The fraud was uncovered when AC Shalimar and RO Sabir Ali took action and handed over the accused to the police. The case was formally registered at Harbanspura police station following a complaint by Deputy District Health Officer Dr. Rizwan.

Who Are the Accused?
The arrested individuals include:
- Hafiz Abdul Rehman (Government Employee)
- Moazzam Ali (Government Employee)
- Musawar Ali (Civillian Accomplice)
These individuals allegedly attempted to steal Rs. 10,000 bank drafts, which were supposed to be distributed to deserving citizens under the Ramadan package.

Authorities have assured a strict crackdown on corruption and have vowed to bring all those involved to justice. The Punjab government is now re-evaluating its distribution system to prevent further fraud and ensure that financial aid reaches those who truly need it.
